First Time Visitor

Whether you’re skeptical about attending church or have been in churches your entire life, First Baptist Church isn’t a place. Rather, it’s a group of people that you can connect with and ask questions, receive support, and grow in your understanding of who Jesus is.

If you’ve decided to join us for a Sunday gathering, that’s fantastic news! We can’t wait to meet you and help you join our community. Here’s everything you need to know about making that happen, because we know it can be intimidating when you attend a new church for the first time.

Main gatherings

Our gatherings take place in the main auditorium. We aim to start each Sunday at 10:30 AM. At these gatherings we spend time worshipping God through music, prayer, and learning about what the Bible teaches us. We also collect an offering which funds the various ministries and work the church is doing in the community and around the world — but visitors are in no way expected to give. Also, every few weeks we participate in communion together where we use bread and grape juice as symbols of Christ’s life, death and resurrection. There’s no dress code, and our services are usually about 70 minutes.

Bringing family?

We have you covered with Children‘s ministries. They provide an engaging experience in a Jesus-focused environment while you are learning more about Jesus during the adult gathering. Children join their parents at the start of the service and are dismissed part way through. Feel free to follow your kids to their class to get them settled.

If you have any questions or need any more information, don’t hesitate to contact us. We’d love to hear from you and find ways to get you involved at First Baptist Church.
